Theodore "Ted" Colbert III is a technology and aerospace executive who spent roughly 15 years at Boeing. He served as the company's chief information officer before leading Boeing Global Services and, from March 2022 to September 2024, Boeing Defense, Space & Security, the manufacturer's defense and space division.
Colbert holds bachelor's degrees in industrial and systems engineering and interdisciplinary science earned through a dual-degree program at Morehouse College and the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a former board chairman of the Aerospace Industries Association, and has served on boards including Archer-Daniels-Midland and Virginia Tech.
In July 2026, Colbert joined XeleratedFifty as a senior partner, advising the Singapore-based innovation firm on its deep-tech and national-resilience strategy. The appointment was announced at the Farnborough International Airshow.
