Contact BioSolutions is an agricultural technology company that develops and manufactures bioherbicides for regenerative agriculture and sustainable landscape management. Founded in Australia in 2015, the company built its business on weed-control technology developed by founder Bill Briggs.
Its flagship brand, FireHawk Bioherbicide, is based on nonanoic acid, a naturally occurring fatty acid, paired with a patented delivery system. The company says FireHawk controls weeds, grasses, moss and algae on contact, delivering visible results within one to three hours and leaving no residual activity in the soil.
Contact BioSolutions markets its ready-to-use FireHawk product as registered for sale across all 50 U.S. states, with the Super Concentrate registered in 48. The company operates in both Australia and the United States, maintaining an Australian base in Hawthorn, Victoria, and, as of October 2025, a U.S. corporate headquarters in Pasadena, California. In 2026 it announced a $5.6 million raise through the conversion of options to accelerate growth.
